About this policy
Cadus Labs LLC publishes Aumiva. This policy covers the Aumiva mobile app and these support and privacy pages. The app works offline, has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud sync, and does not send your app activity or microphone audio to Cadus Labs or an Aumiva server.
Visiting this website or choosing to contact us involves separate web requests, described below. You do not need to visit a website or contact us to use the app's sound and meditation features.
What stays on your device
Presets, descriptions, and artwork are included in the app. The app stores the identifiers of your saved favorites in its private local storage so they remain available after you close it. Your selected sound style (crystal bowl or steady tone, or soft chimes) and chime interval are also saved locally for your next session. You can change those preferences in Sound; they are not uploaded or synced.
In Bells, Record captures the bell pads you tap and their timing, for up to 30 seconds. The app saves one melody as note frequencies, relative tap times, and duration in private local storage. Finishing another recording replaces the saved melody. These are musical note events, not microphone audio or an audio file. Bells does not request microphone access, and your melody is not uploaded or synced to a cloud service.
Your selected tone, volume, session duration, search, and current Reader results are session state; Aumiva does not keep a listening history or persist those controls as a user profile. The app does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location, or health records.
Microphone access is your choice
The Reader asks for microphone permission when you tap Start listening. Playing tones or bells, recording a bell melody, browsing practices, and saving favorites do not need microphone access.
While the Reader is active, short audio buffers are processed in memory on your device to estimate acoustic frequencies. They are discarded after processing. No audio recording is saved, uploaded, transcribed, or used to identify you or anyone nearby.
Tap Stop listening to release the microphone. Capture also stops when you leave the Reader tab or the app leaves the foreground. Returning to the Reader does not automatically restart it. You can deny or revoke microphone permission in device settings and continue using Sound, Bells, and Library.
Retention, deletion, and backups
Favorites remain locally until you remove them or delete the app's data. Remove a favorite with its heart control. To remove all local app data, use your operating system's clear-storage option where available or delete the app. On iOS, choose Delete App rather than Offload App to remove its local data.
Your saved bell melody remains until you replace it, tap Clear in Bells, or delete the app's local data. Clear removes the saved pattern; Undo keeps a temporary copy in memory during the current app session and can restore it. That temporary undo copy is not restored after the app restarts.
Your Sound preferences remain until you change them or delete the app's local data.
Microphone buffers exist only for live processing and are not retained as recordings. There is no Aumiva account or server-side app profile to delete.
Aumiva disables Android app backup in its configuration. iOS may include local app data in device backups depending on your settings. Device migration and existing backups are controlled by your operating system; manage or delete them separately through its settings. Removing a local favorite or bell melody does not itself remove an older device backup.
App stores and operating-system services
Apple, Google, and your operating-system provider may process information when you download, update, back up, or troubleshoot the app. Those services follow their own policies and your device settings. They are separate from Aumiva's local sound and microphone processing.
This website and optional contact
These pages use no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, embedded third-party content, or tracking cookies. Their styles and graphics are served from this website.
When you visit, the website host receives technical request information such as your IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time. It may retain operational and security logs to deliver and protect the site. Retention depends on the hosting service's settings and legal obligations. This website traffic is separate from the offline app and does not include your favorites, Sound preferences, bell melody, or microphone audio.
If you use the Cadus Labs contact form, you choose to provide contact details and a message so we can respond. The corporate website's privacy policy also applies to that form. Please do not include audio recordings, sensitive health information, or other information that is unnecessary for your request.
Your questions and choices
Use the Cadus Labs contact form to ask about this policy or request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you provided when contacting us. Rights and any required retention depend on applicable law. We cannot access favorites, Sound preferences, bell melodies, or microphone buffers stored only on your device.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. If app data handling changes, we will also update the relevant in-app information and store disclosures, and provide any required notices or choices.
